#TowardsEquality
What's happening?
Discrimination can affect our everyday life and even health care services. Sadly, some medical staff will not take care of you because of your differences like your gender, race, and skin color. In our country, medical professionals are highly skilled, but some parts of our country have a shortage of healthcare professionals. Accessing basic needs and medical services can be a major challenge for some of us (poor people & poor cities). In other countries, people do not have to worry about their medical needs but in our country, there are a lot of things to do before you can get your needs met. Like some public hospitals are too full and do not have rooms for the patient. Having no money is also a big problem since if you don’t have the money you cannot get or perform your medical needs even though it is an emergency.
About Our Advocacy: Why? What? How?
People without health insurance may not have the safety net necessary to cover expensive medical expenses should they fall ill. People cannot reach healthcare centers, clinics, or hospitals due to structural hurdles including remote geographic locations, lack of transportation options, or a lack of healthcare resources. We believe that everyone has the right to basic healthcare. In light of this, just as education is a necessary foundation for a just and free society, so too should healthcare. We are dedicated to guiding the country toward a more just and equitable healthcare system that guarantees access to healthcare for everyone. Every person has a right to health care as a matter of human dignity. Like any essential component of life, health care keeps us alive and should always be available and reasonably priced for everyone—wherever they are, whenever they need it, without exclusions or delays.
Everyone has the right to equitable access to health care services, regardless of constitution or standing in society. This is the goal of our work; to promote awareness and advocate that health care providers are compelled to make their services available to all people. Have the freedom to be able to enter and navigate the facility, have access to necessary medical equipment and auxiliary support, and be free of regulations or processes that limit or reject your care. Access to low-cost, high-quality, and conveniently accessible medical care to promotes the well-being and active participation of all persons in their communities and labor forces. We want to show that inadequate access to health care facilities, equipment, and services frequently leads to incorrect medical diagnosis and treatment, which harms people with disabilities and the underprivileged.
We can reach people to ensure equal access to medical care by:
Reducing administrative costs on healthcare facilities.
-
Reduced administrative expenses for healthcare facilities like hospitals and clinics should be required. This would not only help patients pay less overall for medical treatment, but it will also enable them to use the savings on medications and other after-care expenditures.
Regulate the prices of drugs
-
The right to health is thought to be inextricably linked to having inexpensive access to healthcare, especially medications. Governments, companies, and consumers would all benefit financially from having the federal government actively cut prescription prices—whether via bargaining with manufacturers or establishing pricing on its own.
Promote virtual healthcare.
-
Virtual examinations are generally less expensive than walk-in consultations. Patients who live in rural areas or those who lack the time to get to their doctor's office will also find it more convenient.
Require clinics and hospitals to post prices for all services they offer.
-
The cost of their care services will be made public, making it easier for people to access healthcare. Pricing transparency for healthcare services is crucial because it forces healthcare providers to set more fair prices.
Encourage personal responsibility and a healthier lifestyle for all individuals.
-
If individuals become healthier, it will result in the reduction of preventable diseases such as heart disease, lung cancer, diabetes, and hypertension. This can be done by encouraging people to change their eating habits, quit smoking, and become more active.
